Man, I can not believe the imensity of the books he writes! They're around 700 pages each with tiny font. And there's eleven of them! I'm on number eight (I started reading them last summer but took a break over christmas because I was geting tired of them). They've got a great plot, but I must warn you, they are adult fantasy and there are some disturbing things in them. Mainly blood and violence in the first few but later it gets much worse for other immoral aspects. I do enjoy them though it takes me around three weeks to read one! (BTW that's a long time for me because I read a whole lot and really fast too).

So, anyone read them?

The fourth one is actualy the longest of them all I think. 900 pages or so. My favorite was the third one. After that they kind of began to get old...and fast...

I like how there so big. It makes the plot more interesting. Would you rather have 3 millon little books instead of twelve big ones?

I was joking with that sentance. Saying that I rather like lots of little books, as logn as they're not so small it doesn't even look like a good old young adult/adult novel.

Robert Jordan is the best author I have ever read in my life. His books are large, but that's what allows you to get into the world and actually feel like you are living in it. I just hope he doesn't screw up the last one. My favorite character was Moiraine, but then . . . . yeah. Now my favorite characters are Egwene and Nyneave because they have so much power and they do stuff that i would do.
Any book worth reading the first time is worth reading again.

I read the first two Wheel of Time books. They were TERRIFIC! Yeah, they have some disturbing aspects, but that only adds to their greatness. :-D His writing style is simply flawless, and his characterization is superb.

R.I.P Mr Jordan. :(

Ugh... I read as far as "The Fires of Heaven" (book five I think) and it was torture!

I say this a lot, but the main characters seem to be set in rigid patterns.
For example, Loial is... well, loyal. Reminds me of Khimari from Final Fantasy, but more bookish.
And Lan... is Lan. I do enjoy Mat, though.

One other thing: my brother assured me that Robert Jordan lived as a Christian.
